In 2018 I had a surprise visit from one of my favourite living authors Michel Faber. Author of Crimson Petal and the White and Under the Skin et al...
He had made the visit specifically to introduce his hare Albrecht (named after the German 15th/16th century painter Albrecht Durer) to my hare featured in my drawing ‘Oblivion’.
I was struck how he held the golden hare and have toyed with painting this image for some time. I am so glad I did and I can now say with certainty he visited my stand and he was so touched by the painting, he took a photo of me holding the painting of him holding the hare.
